but it is sooooo good.
David and I went and saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" yesterday. It was so cute, and I went into that theatre extremely skeptical of this new version. I've been told it is more like the book, which I haven't read. And I have always loved Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, but I think it is just his image I liked, because Johnny Depp acted more like an actual recluse of a chocolate factory that lived with little men. And the Oompa Loompa songs are really funny, and it was directed by Tim Burton... all in all it was a really good movie, and I think I like it more than the old one. Grandpa Hoe watched Elliot for a few hours so we could go.
Saturday, Lorelei, Framing June, and Lucid were supposed to play the Roxy in Hillsdale. With Our Friends Fate, and The Lodger, but I guess Our Friends Fate is broken up, or so I hear, and the Lodger just never came. But the other three showed up to a locked Roxy and no one in sight with the keys. So, this guy just a few doors down that has a coffee shop with art, books and a little stage told them they could play there, at the Annex. That's what happened and it was a pretty good show. It was slightly wierd, because I saw my old babysitter there. It turned out pretty well.
I think that is about it for now... later kids.
